Day 2

Day 2 of the New Year.

The Rensselaer Technology Park was always a land mark for my jogs. Jogging out to the tech park is a 5 1/2 mile round trip. But after all these years I never knew that there is also some Hiking trails down in this park AND a Technology Museum. Two things I have a great interest in. Even though the museum was open today I couldn't get Stacey to go watch the "Astronauts" playing in the planetarium.


So we found one of the Hiking trails and made our way through the woods. Seeing many interesting foot prints.
These were BIG. Look at Stacey foot to the foot print.
Found two things I'm going to do in 2010... hike more trails and mountains. Go to museums (tech, art, kids, science).
Winter hikes will be done soon with snow shoes. Stacey has a pair already.. now I have to look for some.
I'm going to find some way to workout with a bum shoulder.


WOD: 10 rounds
10 air squats
5 64# one-armed deadlifts
10 lunges (to kitchen)
5 one-armed counter top push ups
10 air squats
5 10# one hand snatches
10 lunges (back to living room)

21 mins
(but that was with checking the chicken twice - and this was a trial run to see how it felt on my shoulder)


Dialing in:
8:00am 16 oz green tea
2 eggs
2 chicken saugage
4 oz apple sauce
11:00am 1/2 apple
5 teaspoons almond butter

12:30pm
4oz chicken w/fresh tarragon glaze (new paleo recipe)
1 scallop w/bacon (leftover)
4:30pm 1/2 apple
5 teaspoons almond butter
8:30pm 2 chicken pieces(drumstick and thigh)
1.5 cup roasted cauliflower (recipe called it pop corn cauliflower)
2 glasses of red wine

Today:
Worked more taking down Christmas decorations. Bills. Hike. Read. Watched TV....boring!
Best part was the hike and the at home WOD!!
